Individual Coaching Program: Increasing effectiveness by prioritizing, delegating, and organizing

Impact Coaches helped a Partner in a mid-size accounting firm create a more sustainable life for herself at work – one that prioritized her professional growth in addition to her personal wellbeing.
The challenge
The Partner was seen as a tremendous talent, but found herself regularly working 14-hour days and still struggling to get everything done. She knew she wasn’t prioritizing her work well, using the time productively, or effectively engaging her team to help her. She was on the verge of burnout and needed to make a change.
The approach
- Interviewed the leader’s performance manager, staff, and peers, for their insights on her strengths, habits, and gaps.
- Administered a Birkman assessment to understand her usual work style, her stressors, and her interests.
- Completed an audit of her organization approach, including her calendar and other tools she was using.
- Debriefed her on the assessment findings and used them to develop her coaching objectives.
We conducted regular coaching meetings to help the Partner prioritize activities, delegate effectively, and carve out closed-door time. We also helped her organize her schedule and develop techniques to narrow her focus when working.
The results
By the end of her Individual Coaching Program, the Partner increased her output, while simultaneously becoming happier and more relaxed at work. She also:
- Became comfortable with effectively delegating work to her eager team.
- Adopted vital organization and prioritization skills that worked with her style.
- Took her first vacation in two years.
The program
We can help you develop yourself as a leader in the most authentic way possible, so you can deliver what you, your team and your organization need to flourish.
