Team Coaching Program: Increasing connection to enhance performance

Impact Coaches partnered with a leader in a national insurance company to help him and his team of 10 individuals connect with each other more, work better together, and increase their overall performance.
The challenge
The team seemed to be doing “okay” as a group, but they had no unified vision, struggled through boring meetings, didn’t tend to share best practices, and rarely made decisions as a group. The leader had experimented with various methods to get the team to gel, but nothing seemed to work. He knew that if they could think and work more as a team, they would be more productive and perform better.
The approach
- Interviewed each team member to assess their leader’s strengths and opportunities and learn more about each of the team members’ personalities.
- Spent time upfront with the leader to understand the business strategy, objectives, and 5-year plan for his team.
- Administered a Birkman assessment to the entire team to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and pain points, which was shared with the team in an interactive team effectiveness session.
- Worked with the leader to establish clear development objectives and a plan for his first 100 days in the role.
The results
By the end of the program, the team was energized with a new vision and objectives, and reviewed their plan regularly. They also:
- Reported that they felt more connected to the “big picture” of the business.
- Changed the way they conducted meetings to be shorter, more effective and interesting. Everyone showed up and contributed to meetings.
- Turned many of their best practices into standard practices.
- Received positive feedback from clients on the improved service.
The program
We help your team create stronger connections with each other, work together successfully, and achieve the results you’re after.
