Margaret James is a seasoned coach and business veteran with over 20 years of experience leading teams to implement strategic projects in corporate and entrepreneurial settings. She developed these skills as a management consultant and a senior leader for global consumer product and research firms. She also offers her time to various of non-profit and social venture organizations and has developed a deep understanding of good governance and the complexities of start-up environments. Her business expertise brings a ‘been-there’ perspective of what it takes to be successful in diverse sectors and workplaces.
Margaret is an executive and team coach who brings a wealth of experience to her practice. As a trusted and objective partner, she encourages her clients to live their values and align their behaviours to their business goals, the markets, and the operational systems around them. She challenges the leaders and high potentials she works with to embrace their strengths, master new skills, and continuously develop to become their best selves.
Margaret completed her BA in Political Science & Economics at University of Toronto, Victoria College, as well as a Marketing Certificate from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business. A graduate of the Adler|OISE UofT Coaching Certificate Program, Margaret has advanced education in organization & relationship systems coaching, and training & strategy facilitation. After several years as an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited ACC professional coach, Margaret is currently a PCC candidate. She is also an active member of the ICF Toronto Chapter.
